Human Trafficking Awareness Month
January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. In light of this, I am running a series of interviews with advocates and activists, as well as survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The interviews can be read here.
Raising awareness is part of the solution to abolishing human trafficking and sexual exploitation. To join the fight against modern day slavery, you can help by spreading the message.

When you think about slavery, if you think about slavery, you probably associate it with the sex trade. And for a good reason. 8 of 10 human trafficking cases worldwide involve the sex industry in one way or another. The others involve labor trafficking, people being made to work in sub-human conditions in factories and farms and shadow businesses worldwide.
