But following the discovery his drug source was linked to the CIA and he had been used as a pawn in the Iran–Contra scandal, he received a reduced sentence.

I’m now perceived as an author, a title I like very much and certainly it’s much better than being labelled a gangster that’s for sure... I can channel this fresh, positive energy into things which are a million miles removed from those that defined my life before. Writing has also given me a newfound purpose, a sense of direction, and an enthusiastic aptitude to move forward in a different light whilst simultaneously putting the past firmly behind me.

My new book is actually a collection of short stories called 'Who Likes Short Shorts?' I've included samples of all my other books, so hopefully people will enjoy the stories and reading a little bit about how I came to write them... Most of my writing is done on the day I sit down. I have ideas in my head but rarely make notes of them. During the writing process, I’ll leave little notes for myself, but not before.
