I never pursued music until about eight years ago, as I was an actor hiding behind a character in the Broadway cast of Grease and the National Tour of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof amongst other productions. People like Nerina Pallot, KT Tunstall and Lissie inspire me and I thought “better late than never” and started writing and doing open mics, which led to my own slots and supporting people like Nerina Pallot and Alice Gold.
I am honored to screen Collateral Damage: Sex Workers and the Anti-Trafficking Campaigns at Kampnagel’s sex work issues conference “FANTASIES THAT MATTER. IMAGES OF SEXWORK IN MEDIA AND ART.”
My inspiration comes from everywhere. I’m an avid reader of anything I can get my hands on; I like to imagine what happens after I’ve read the last page, where do the characters go? I muse on normality being forced into an abnormal condition, where someone I know or some part of my own character is forced to confront a situation they could never have imagined.
I’m shouting at the tosser in the next cell, he’s shouting down the phone and now he’s shouting back at me. Can’t hear meself bloody think. Now it sounds like he’s on about someone having tricked him into giving them a baby for Chris’ sakes. I must relax, lie back on me bunk, and reflect on how I got into this position… and how I’m going to get out of it.

With non-fiction, I like to write practical books of the how-to type, helping my readers to achieve something. It's rewarding to play a part in a reader's success. For example, with Twitter for Writers, I show writers how to use Twitter to improve your writing, network with other authors, meet fans, build a platform, gain exposure, find reviewers and sell books.
Max’s criminal career has been going downhill since it began when he was sixteen on an armed robbery job with his father. Now in his mid-forties, he’s spent more time in jail than on criminal endeavours and he’s...
I became interested in spiritual enlightenment, metaphysics, self-empowerment and self-healing. The self-healing I used to heal myself of the many traumatic experiences that were deeply hidden. Continuing to learn more, I moved onto personal development, soul growth, the sub-conscious, other dimensions, spirit possession, the...
I have written in many genres over the years, but I do really enjoy writing dark thrillers/horror. I do always like to inject a level of black humour into even my darkest writing though. There has to be a glimpse of light for the reader to better appreciate the dark.
